just some simple mods so far :

• 250R's Leo Vince Cobra Slip-on ('Elephant Trunk' suits better than cobra, don't you think?)
• Bridgestone Battlax S20, 120/60 and 160/60
• Smoked Windshield
• Custom Fender Eliminator (My God the stock fender looks like a huge d*ldo)
• V-Grille (some sort of mudguard right under the radiator)
• Arm Cover/Hugger
• Koso Exhaust Slider/Anticrush

And... I just paid $15 for the brand new 250R's paddock stand

 

Love the red. Going to have to take my white one and add some graphics kinda like this. Beautiful!

 

That's the color/pattern I want here in the states. One of two reasons I haven't pulled the trigger on buying the 300 yet. Hoping this SE design comes out for 2014. If I got the SE green or white 2013 and this or plain red were released the following year, I'd be pretty upset will my willpower.

I have the same red/white just got it yesterday here in Thailand.

It is rough here since I spent all my life in the US on RR bikes.
Prices here are crazy high for imports so we take what we can get
that is made here.

Not a fan of the elephant trunk pipes but I do like that radiator guard thing. V-Grille? Does that just snap in, screw in?

Yeah that's a funky looking swingarm. Doesn't look like any SS or SBK swingarm that I'm aware of.

 

That just a cover swingarm for the stock swingarm, I mention it before, you could see many pic on the rear hugger thread.

Nice bike! just install custom header for those 'cobra' slip-on, the position it's kinda odd.

Put some frame sliders from Moth Racing on mine today.
Nice thick CNC plates that look like they would spread the load well
if they ever got used.
Also a radiator grill

Monday I go in for a set of Pirelli Rosso II's
Can hardly wait for those tires as the stock ones really suck

I know the ABS is more money, but I think it's worth it (I paid for it)

 

I am new to bikes and had a couple of questions:
1) Why do most people prefer the non-abs as mentioned above over the abs? Is it due to pricing, the wait time, or actual bike weight? The ABS is supposed to be safer at only a few extra pounds right? What I am getting at is, having the ABS does not hinder you from particular mods that a non-ABS could does it? I plan on heavily modding mine
2) It has been mentioned that the above swingarm is a cover for the stock. Is this OEM, or some company making it? I cannot find this item and the hugger anywhere...I hope we can get it here in the states....

I'm assuming you're going to change the wheels, tires, shocks, calipers etc too... if yes, I think non-ABS will suit you better...

I'm not saying it's impossible, like what this guy did on his ABS...

It's custom arm hugger, made of fiberglass... not sure if it's available anywhere outside of Indonesia though...

EDIT: looks like the owner deleted the pic or something, but anyway, here's mine

 

I personally chose the non-ABS because I've always rode without it and I feel that if I want to lock up the wheel it damn well better, I don't want this bouncing around crap goin on. I learned to ride without it and I plan to continue riding without it until I don't have the option.
