I just got a 2015 ninja 300 but its too quiet. Loud pipes save lives right? So whats the best sounding exhaust for the ninja without making it sound like a civic with a fart can. Thanks!
I have a MGP Growler on my 300 and I absolutely love it. It is definitely a blind spot eliminator and has a deep, mean roar that just sounds bad ass IMO. I don't wear ear plugs when I ride, like lots of riders do, and the sound of the exhaust doesn't bother me 1 bit. The exhaust is also aesthetically pleasing IMO. The can is much smaller than most slip-ons at only 8" in length to give it a nice sleek look. Most cans are in the 12" range. You have the option to throw on the logo which is a sticker in the packaging, or you can go without it which I prefer. You can pick one up for right around $255 which is MUCH lower than a Yosh, 2 Bros, Leo Vince, etc... May be worth checking out.I just got a 2015 ninja 300 but its too quiet. I have heard both sides of it. Some riders never wore ear plugs prior to getting an exhaust. Thanks for your 2 cents...That's because we don't wear them due to the exhaust. We wear them because of wind dB.
There is definitely a lot of noise especially when riding on the freeway. For me personally, I prefer not to wear plugs because I feel I lose a bit of awareness. Being able to hear what is going on around you is a great benefit and can keep you out of some bad situations. It's hard enough to hear emergency vehicles with just the wind and exhaust factor, now if I were to throw ear plugs in also, it would be almost impossible. This is just my opinion. I also surf and know people that listen to music while they surf. I tried it once and never again. Reason being, I like to be in tune with my environment and when it comes to awareness of my surroundings, vision and hearing are the two main factors. Just works for me.Ha! I wear them when I'm not listening to music because my M4 exhaust (even with a baffle in) and wind noise combined is crazy loud!
I checked out the Delkevic prior to purchasing the MGP and believe I chose wisely. I prefer the deep roar on the MGP compared to the go-kart sound of the Delkevic as well as the nice finish on the design. The only thing I liked better about the Delkevic was the price tag but it wasn't enough to sell me on it. Thanks for your non bias opinion though!Dang it looks like they stole our design but ours still looks better and is less expensive:
