For us Yankees who don't have a year round riding season, isn't winter the best time to buy because of lower demand?

After the Christmas gift period and before the New Year when inventory is accounted would seem to give the buyer leverage.

Who are the better dealers in the NYC area?

i;d go outside the city, anything in the city is pretty expensive. but not sure about what dealers are good and bad in that area.

winters a good time to buy for sure, lower demand makes for reduced prices, and more bargaining power, however they are still really new, so your not gonna be able to negotiate much off... next winter get a 2013 and that you could prob get at a steal!

Doubt you will get a good deal on a 2013 until 2014, at least with as fast as this bike is selling right now..

I tried the between christmas an d new years trick a couple years ago with a new car.. Eventually I asked why they wouldnt budge on the price and they flat out told me December is really easy for them to meet their numbers, they have no reason to negotiate to an extramly low price..
