Hey, I want to change the bike odometer,
And i wonder if I will change the whole
Gauge cluster with another one with less
Kilometers it will show me the same
Kilometers. because maybe the odometer
stored at the ECU and no the gauge itself.

Mileage is stored in the odometer itself - if you change it, your mileage will read whatever is on the new odometer. And before you ask, no you can't change the odometer reading.

I brought a bike a month ago with only the right turn signal working on the gauge cluster. Took the gauge cluster off and took it apart and found water damage inside. Ordered a new off of EBAY and it worked fine just started at ZERO miles. So on these bikes the mileage is stored in the gauge cluster NOT the ECU.

Next post will be in the buy and sell:
Low miles, one owner, etc, etc.

Found 09 ninja in local Police Auction
Wanted to check it out and bid.

The odometer is at 25k
Is that miles on a Canadian bike or kms
And being kms that wouldn't be too bad eh?
Cheers

That's a Ninja 250 with a carburetor. They should have it posed as KM or Miles - Canada is metric, so I would assume kilometers, though it's easy enough to verify by looking at the gauge (which you can switch to show either measurement). 25k kms is only 15,534 miles, so that's pretty low mileage for a bike that old. I personally wouldn't buy a 250 because they've usually been beat all to hell, and who knows what kind of shape the carb is in... not to mention I simply don't want to deal with carbs and chokes, but that's just me - you do what makes you happy.

eh Rouge, Merci

I feel you for sure. Not too sure if it would make me happy to get a used bike, with a carb (like yah said) , and 9/10? prolly beat to hell, making the Japanese tech less bullet proof heh

But awesome, thanks hey, it could make me happy or else I gots to rely on luck cuz I have zero left in me to deal with any dealers in their shops for shit I want anymore, meh...

The battery is prolly dead, so rigging up a boost to check the gauge is a plan B, prolly have to make a friend at the impound yard to view it, instead of their limited piks and info and bidding blind.

Was thinking about 1000 USD or more for my max bid and I noticed last aution the bid were high for low quality machines, meh flipped a coin to decide if I want to go through with this, and it landed in between heads and tails.
