Sold an Arai and Shoei with Smoke visors to a local customer last week and was showing the shield changes on each. Even though we have used both for years and have the Arai shield changes down pat, the customer and his girlfriend both struggled initially on the Arai shield.

They finally got it after getting used to the clicks and pulling.
Of course, it only took them about 5 seconds to figure out the Shoei Shield System
Both said.. "Why does Arai not change their Shield System" ?

Got us thinking, IF you could get the Manufacturers to change their product ... Something that made Common Sense. .......... What would it be?

Fix the issues as they arise with ALL their bikes. Such as the downshifting issue when the engine cuts off. I wish Kawasaki could figure that out and fix EVERYONES bikes. Pronto.

Instead of waiting for an excess of complaints that is.

If we pay for something, it should work. simple as that.

I just want companies and people to stand behind what they sell and do.

make more accurate fuel gauges. never understood why the fuel gauges were so random.
eh, the fuel gauges always leave a good chunk of reserve fuel in the tank when empty. This is to limit the number of people who run out of gas. For my civic, I know I still have roughly 7L left in the tank when it reads empty. I'd be curious to know how much different bikes have left in reserve when reading empty. I assume there is some magic ratio of fuel/required distance buffer a vehicle needs to meet, but it might be decided by manufacturers individually.

Definitely agree here!! Should not go 20 miles and lose a bar, then don't lose the next one until 70, etc.

I would say lose the stupid ECO indicator and replace it with instantaneous mpg. Then add avg mpg to each of the trip computers. I love seeing my MPG!!

What manufactures need to do it look at mods people typically do and install them factory.. I would pay a couple extra hundred for factory LED signals and projection HID lights.. I understand everything cant be done due to regulations but lighting is a big simple one, everyone wants better lighting...

+1

projectors are a safety issue on bikes. visibility at night on a motorcycle is so important. I think projector and xenon lights should be standard.

I like your suggestion better than mine!! I would DEFINITELY pay for factory HIDs and projector lenses. Ford got a big +1 in my book for making them standard on all mustangs, even the base V6 for $21k
