Mine came with IRC road Winners, which are pretty average!
Didn't pick up on it at the dealership cause I was too excited to get on the saddle. I thought they were supposed to come with bridestones?
Or can the dealer choose whatever cheapeys they wanna throw on?

I believe Kawasaki made a special arrangement with IRC to jointly develop Roadwinners that are specifically designed for the 300, I believe ALL 300's come with them. I'd say 99.9% sure. Hope this helps.

I don't think theirs an option for tires if I'm correct. They come with a standard tyre right?
Correct. Although I've seen certain other models come with different tires. I always wondered why. I believe the dealership would not change what they come with...

I was wondering the same thing.. On my last bike there were 3 different tire options.. Well it was not really an option, it came from the manufacture that way... I have actually been stattified with these tires as a "all season" riding tire.. Been great wet and dry for me.. Now I am not taken it into the twisty because it has gotten so cold and wet so that I can not comment on yet..

On this note, how are you guys liking your Roadwinners? how are they performing? I know IRC as a company is not too great and pretty sub-par compared to the other manufacturers but I hear some of their tires can be decent. Seeing as these are the IRC Roadwinner R-specs that were designed specifically in conjuction with Kawasaki exclusively for the 300, I'd guess they should offer at the least "comparable" performance to similar tires...Any opinions guys?

Mine arent bad, I feel a bit uneasy with them when I am leaning real far... but that could just be me...?

overall, they arent bad in my opinion, But then again I really dont have much to compare them to, this is my first bike I bought new, I only have experience with scooter tires hahah not exactly the same....

Not just you, I feel the same way with them. They're just not confidence inspiring once you get to the outer edges of the tires.

Yes, as Yeah boyi said we've got the same stocks here.

And yeah I've felt the rear tire slipping a bit a couple of times while coming hard out of corners on the track.. so it's best you guys don't lean too far with these :)

For the everyday road it's great though.

I'm sure they are adequate for normal street riding, but i just bought a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's, I'm having them put on next week. :D

I've raced on street tires for a few years because of budget and have no complaints with bias-ply streeters! My last race bike used a 90mm rear tire which was actually a front run the wrong way and the front tire was an 80mm. I was knee down everywhere it was necessary and had great traction and feed back! TRUST your tires, they will give you what you need...

When you guys buy tires do you just go to the dealership.and put on whatever they have or do you special order them and the dealer/mechanic calls when they arrive? Curious to know... Cause then I can start tire shopping :p

Mostly shop on line and buy from dealer. Tell them what you want, they order it and you pick up when ready. But, I've had great success going to the dealer and seeing what they have on sale and trying new brands or compounds...Got my first pair of "Pilots" that way and loved them. Same with the Perelli Dragon Pros...Liquidation sale....Man do they stick...
