Hey guys, just wanted to say, "what's up"? My name is Kegan, (as my screen name slyly implies) and I will be the proud new owner of my very own Pearl Stardust White Ninja 300 next week! I put in the downpayment a little over a week ago, and it should be arriving shortly - don't worry, pictures will follow upon its arrival!

It will be my first bike, and I couldn't be more excited :D I've ridin friends bikes for years, but have never really had a compelling reason to get one of my own - knowing that'd I probably do something stupid and hurt myself. But now that I have an epic commute through Malibu Canyon and down The Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Monica for work, I figure it would be sac-religious (to the motorsport Gods) to not entertain myself on two wheels, rather than the oh-so-boring four.

I'll be taking the MSF course within a month, and will be tracking the bike as soon as I can to get a baseline of my abilities, and see how the bike responds in adverse conditions. I'll be commuting on it every day, and probably even in the rare So-Cal rainstorms , so I'll definitely want to get comfortable on it, quick!

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute some worth-while posts in the future, but in the mean time, thanks for the welcome!

I am so ridiculously jealous of your commute. Just sayin'. Definitely plannin' a trip up to Mulholland once my bike is broken in.
Yeah, the commute isn't the worst in the world, haha. Rarely do I get bored and notice the time ticking away; I usually just enjoy the sights the whole way, and before you know it, I'm there! And yes, Mulholland will be frequented once the bike and myself are broken in... though most likely at a less than moderate pace, haha.

Grats mate, I like your choice of colour:)
As do I... Thanks!

My name is Theodore, as you can tell from my username.

Welcome Ronald.
Thanks, Jim

Welcome Kegan.. I too am Jealous of your commute. I live in Riverside, and the commute is a hot, slow, and boring one. Lol. I may actually be moving to San Diego within a year or so. I will definitely be 2 up'ing w/ the wife up PCH and back down once I am finally able to make my purchase... I am trying to hold out until January, but with how much I am keeping up with this awesome group of people on these forums, its harder and harder each day. Lol...

Congrats on laying down the DP, and I'll look forward to your posts and pics of your beauty once she arrives. ;-)

Thanks again for the welcomes! I haven't had a chance to do a proper photo-shoot with the bike yet, so I'll just have to re-post this cellphone pic for now. Many, far superior shots, of this sexy beast to come!

I live in Santa Monica, and I love Mulholland! I've had my bike for a month now, and I started riding Sunset Blvd from the beach to Beverly Hills and back, it's a nice ride with lots of sweeping curves and slightly up and down most of the way, but it's nothing compared to Mulholland. I've been up there maybe 3 times so far, and I'm definitely the slow guy, especially no the section called the "Snake" just north of the Rock Store. I like it a lot also because going up Malibu Canyon Rd and Mulholland Hwy, the roads are like new up there (important for a new rider)
