Alright, so i've been debating on getting a slip-on for awhile now and I just have a few questions. Tried doing a google search and forum search but couldn't really find anything that fully helped.

I am not really doing a slip-on thinking it'll do any performance gains, otherwise i'd just go full exhaust + area p tuner/PCV. Although any changes with the slip-on in a negative way is something I'm curious about.

I am mostly going for the weight reduction and non-stock sound.

What i'm wondering is:
1. Which is the least obnoxious slip-on? I live in a somewhat quiet neighborhood and i'd like to piss off my neighbors as little as possible.

2. Is there an advantage with going with the 300 slip ons vs the 250s? As far as I know, the only difference i'm hearing about is the mounting brackets. So for example, would TB slip ons designed for the 300 sound or perform differently than a TB designed for the 250?

If there's another thread that i missed that answers either or both of these, a link would be much appreciated.

-Thanks

Akra or a full size Leo Vince, not the Corsa, are traditionally the most quiet. I have the Akra for a 250, smooth and deep sound without being loud. People don't even turn their head or pause in conversation when I ride by. I'd start it at 4am without worry.

With the quite core it isn't even much louder than stock. A true stealthy pipe.

My m4 full system is a neighbor waker, at idle its ok and doesnt bother anyone but if I rev it up when its dark I get complaints so I just keep it quiet at night :D

I forgot to finish typing haha... It was the same loudness as my Leo Corsa, I dont think the cat effects the sound much..

i think you would be hardpressed to find any aftermarket slipon that wasnt loud. as a general rule of thumb slipons are straight thru pipes and some can be loud enough to wake the dead, "micron" comes to mind for this

from what i have read and understood from many hours of using goolgle on topics like this, the 250 pipes do fit the 300, its just the rear bracket you will need to use some creative engineering to get it to fit the 300.
i cant see the 250 exhaust performing differently on the 300 or even if it did, i doubt it would be to such a degrading extent that the bike was deprived of all power.

Yeah, i was seeing that too. I just wasn't sure cause in terms of available slip-ons, you get a much larger variety with 250 made slip-ons since the 300 is still somewhat new. If the only thing was the bracket, i could easily concoct a diy bracket.
