Just curious to see who is following the manufacturers handbook and keeping it under 4krpm for the first 1000kms?

Im certainly not, Im not redlining it by any means but the other day I took it to 7000rpm in 6th....

What are you guys doing?

Vary your rpm's dont keep it in one area too long and dont go too hard on the motor. aka redline. and thats the the way all my engine mechanics and engineer friends say to break in an engine properly. the 4k rpm from the manufacturer is just to protect their ass from dump people who want to do 110 in second gear LOL

Considering how quiet things are around here, I think we should answer each thread happily :p even if it's a duplicate.

When I get mine, I'm just going to ride it normally. Not like I stole it, but like I bought it. Keep those RPMs all over the tach, and the bike'll be fine.
