must be a good dealer to have stripped it down that far to diagnose such a fault
Check bolts. One member had a licence plate bolt that was loose and as I can imagine it made quite a noise when it started to rattle. Bolts are always a good thng to start with, check all the ones you can see. At least that eliminates that off your list of possibilities.I've tried holding the clutch lever firmly, unfortunately it didn't seem to make a difference. The noise appears to be coming from the back of the bike.![]()
That was me and I actually lost my temp plate (I re-tightened them once at least)Check bolts. *grin*But seriously thread lock EVERYTHING!!!
Eh.. Unless you get the really hard locking stuff, it's not a big deal. I've got the blue stiff and it comes of easy enough.. OK maybe "everything" was a bit if an exaggeration, but I thread lock a lot of stuff.. Too much vibration..*grin*
Please don't thread lock everything.
If you do your own servicing, you're going to be cursing up a storm, and if you let someone else do it for you, they will not thank you, and the likelihood is that you'll have to leave the bike with them for a bit while they undo your work, even for minor servicing.
Tighten up, certainly, but don't Incredible Hulk it unless you're planning never to service the bike again.
I can rattle it around by hand for sure. To me it sounds like it's coming from the back of the bike though, but I won't rule this out completely.I also held my clutch and it still rattled so I thought it was something else! Not saying yours is the clutch but can you rattle it around a lot by hand?

Dealer fixed my clutch lever rattle.I noticed a rattling sound but only at high rpm's. Turned out to be the clutch lever. It wiggles a little bit, just the design of it

Squeeze a bit of grease between both sides of the brake lever and the lever bracket and wipe up any excess, tighten up the clutch cable till right on the point where the slack is gone!
