Let's say I'm going to pick up a friend (maybe even one of the lady variety). Is there any way to transport a spare helmet on the way over?

Yeah I can imagine that wouldn't be ideal for riding any sort of distance. With the 300's tapered tail, the helmet doesn't sit flush. I doubt it would be much fun having a helmet bashing in the side of the bike the whole ride. What kind of bungee would you recommend? Just a regular bungee cord?

I usualy carry a second helmet when needed on my left arm. I did one commute with the second helmet in the helmet lock under the seat, found the bike would veer to the right side (where the helmet was) it was a very awkward ride.

I would go with the whole bungee net type deal. Would keep it more secure for something as smooth and rounded as a helmet. Another option would be putting the helmet in a bag first and then bungee/strap/tie to the seat if that's more convenient based one what things you already have.

My vote goes to a backpack as well. Bungees look tacky and depending on what you use and how you mount them, they could scratch up the paint on your bike.

Be a squid. Let her wear yours while you free ball it. It's the perfect pick up line. "I'll let you be inside my helmet if you let me be inside...." Nvm.
...your heart? You were going to say your heart right?

I think for $17 I'll order the bungee net and see how it goes. Thanks for all the suggestions.
