Recently picked up a 2017 ninja 300 from an auction, I was thinking of tearing off all the plastics, keeping the gas tank, making some skid plates, replacing the handle bar with something a little higher, new lights all around, new speedometer unit and switching out the tires for some 50/50 dual sport.

The main idea is to have something that can be reasonably ok on gravel roads as well as paved, main question is do I have any suspension adjustability with the stock setup, and what tires should I go with on the stock rims.

There is no way I would ever use this for jumping or climbing, just want something to cruise on gravel and pavement.

Hard to find dual sport tires in these sizes I think. Maybe the Tkc-80's you could use a 120/70 front and choose from what they have that will fit the rear.

I say do it, why not? If you already bought the bike with plans on changing it...
