New rider! I just got a 2013 300 SE Green! I really want to replace the exhaust ASAP but until then I was thinking about dipping my exhaust. I saw someone do the whole thing black but what are some opinions on black and green? I'd do the base black and do the chrome in a ninja green to match the bike. Good idea?

Buy another exhaust with a great sound like M4, twobrothers, yoshimura, akrapovic, leovince etc.

I think the original exhaust is ugly and sounds like a sewing machine.

Yeah eventually I'm going to do this, but until I have the $$$ I'm gonna plastidip the stock so it looks a little better

Does the plasti dip hold up to the heat??
For the heatshield (kinda chromed) i would say yes but for the housing (matte black) i would say no. I'm pretty sure it gets way too hot for plasti-dip. Let us know how it turns out.

I used a can of flat black high temp header paint from the auto parts store on my muffler and shield.

I cut open the muffler, gutted it then welded it back shut then just resprayed.
100 miles and holding up fine.

plasti-dip idk.

PlastiDipped the plastics and heat shield first, then went over it with a primer

For being a 4 hour job, I think it turned out quite nicely.

Am I the only one that likes the looks of the stock pipe?
