if after you start the bike and the oil pressure light stays on, then you need to press the panic button and shut the bike down.

something isnt right. either low or no oil or oil pump is kaput or sensor wire faulty

The oil light comes on when he turns the key (KOEO), not with the engine running (KOER).

KOEO oil light is perfectly normal.

What if the light stays on, you have plenty of oil, and there is no oil leak? How do you know if it is the oil pump?
oil light usually goes out within a second or two if bike has oil you can see in the sight glass when you start the bike

if you start the bike and it continues to stay on, shut the bike down, theres something wrong. could well be oil pump is stuffed.

if the bike is under warranty, have a chat to the dealer & get the bike there in a trailer/tow truck what ever, dont start the engine again & let them sort it out
