Having ridden a 250r, I always felt it was working too hard at a commuting speed which for me is 140 km or 86 mph on the speedometer. Anyone know what the rpms read at an indicated 140 km per hour? On my 250r it was 12,000 rpms at that speed. I would like to keep the rpms down to 10,000. How fast (indicated) will 10,000 rpms get me?
Me and the wife rode two up on the 300 two nights ago. First off the fuel milage drops greatly with two people, as could be expected with the small displacement. Got it up to about 86mph and it really didnt have much more after that...the RPMs were around 9500.

I also rode down the highway yesterday. I was able to drop gears (two to be exact) while going 60 and it was screaming but had enough power to safely pass a truck. This bike is definately going to shine at your slower speeds....lol.....but to my surprise it will move (even though not as fast as a 600 sport) when it needs to.
