Hey John, I'm in NC too. Triad area. We have some nice roads here in NC that provide tons of good riding. I have been riding about 8 years now. I have rode Busa, ZX6, and 750R. Got the 300R last week, it's a nice bike with a lot more pep than I anticipated.
If this is your first bike, I'd hold off on the mods for at least one full riding season. Don't wanna dump a bunch of money into it and then drop it a few times. That would be a waste.
If you're near the Triad, HMU sometime maybe we can burn a few gallons

It is my first bike, but my stepdad used to race and taught me how to ride when i was younger. And my dad works out in that area so if I'm ever out there, I'm definitely down to go riding:)
