hi guys,
I am new to motorycles and riding and have recently purchased my first bike, a nice 2013 ninja 300. all was well and good was loving the bike and test drive and inspection found nothing but now after a week I noticed something odd.
when I start the bike its in neutral and just idling and I wanted to give it a few revs but when I turned the throttle everything seems to stop for a second then it just goes back to idle. the engine doesn't cut out but the whole back seems to freeze for a second then theres no revs and it just sits at idle again.
is this weird?
its possible I'm just making a newbie mistake and its user error but any information given would be greatly appreciated
thanks

From what I can understand this was an issue with the 2013s ECU. Kawasaki had issued a recall on over 11,000 bikes, hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's something you should definitely look into, hopefully you get lucky and it's something with a quick easy fix. You can always try adjusting your idle it's a little adjustor poking out from under the throttle body in the left side. I'm not a professional and I can only speak from my own experience.

If it's the recall, maybe the dealer will do it at kawi's expenses. My 2013 had the recall done and never did that. Stop by the a dealer and ask them to check if your bike had the recall done.
