Welcome to the forum SuperSport.

I guess two hours on the ride may get anyone's hands numb.

Something that may help is to replace the bar ends with heavier ones, or somehow add weight at the end of the handlebars.

loose grip on the bars, don't tense your arms...and make sure your gloves (you're wearing those, right?) fit properly. I've seen where gloves that are too tight / wrong size can restrict finger movement and cause numbness.

You also shouldn't be putting any weight on your hands / wrists. Your back or core muscles should hold you up and your legs should grip the tank.

Bicycle riders use padded gloves to avoid numb hands too.
That's a great point! Padded gloves can help absorb the shock and vibration from the handlebars, reducing the risk of numbness and discomfort in the hands. They can also provide extra grip and protection during falls or accidents. It's always important to prioritize safety and comfort while cycling, and investing in quality gear like padded gloves can make a big difference.
