Hi All,
I'm new to riding and looking at a few bikes for my first motorcycle. The Ninja 300 is at the top of my list. I plan on taking the MSF course in the next couple of months and purchasing right after.

Welcome. Seeing as this will be your 1st bike I think the 300 is a great choice and you will love it. The other thing you can think about is the dealer out here just started a lease program where you can either buy or return just like you would a car. So if you think you may sell the bike later on ( I will never sell mine though) this maybe something to look into.

I think there's a good handful of people from the EB. maybe a group ride should be organized. I'm not too familiar with roads around here myself. Perhaps someone with more saddle experience can toss in their hat to lead.

Welcome MoFetti!
Bay Area / San Joaquin county? Are you near Tracy? I bought my bike at Tracy Motorsports. Great roads: Mountain Road, Altamont Road, Patterson, Mt Hamilton, Mines Road and Morgan Territory.
Thanks Star. I was living in Palo Alto when I first started the thread, and then bought a house in Tracy. I also purchased my bike from Tracy Motorsports.

Funny... I commuted to Palo Alto for 8 years from San Ramon There's quite a few nice country roads out in Tracy. I like to take the backroads to TMS when I get my bike serviced. There's a lot of construction on the 205 and parts of the road are in terrible condition.
