Looking to buy the 1157 bulb but before I do and open up the cover, is the bulb color clear or red?

The stock bulb is clear, however if you're buying LED, you're better off buying red.

White LEDs usually have a higher colour temperature (they're more blue). Through the red lens the light might appear pink.
