kawasaki ninja 300 Rear fender delete done

I ordered a universal fender delete kit from Ebay and installed it tonight. It fits and looks great. It cost me a whole $30 shipped! I went for the version with turn signal mounts for two reasons, there is no integrated tail light available yet haha. And the other is on my last bikes I was busted for no physical turn signals and had to fight it in court. I always won because the court systems don't know the laws, as my local law says integrated tail lights are ok, because they come that way on cars but federal law trumps state law and that requires them. I decided this time i just want to play it safe and install some blinkers and not deal with the hassle. That being said i still need to get a set of blinkers and then work out what ever blinker relay issues i may run into if i go with led signals.

I am posting via phone now so i can not easily post pictures but i will do so the first chance i get. Same goes for the link to what kit i got it keeps just giving me a mobile link.

I am still looking for the perfect set of blinkers.. Sadly I ordered a set off ebay without reading the entire auction, and come to find out they are BLUE.. Which I would be busted faster for having BLUE bulbs rather than no at all..

These are the turn signals I got:

I absolutely HATE fake carbon fiber!! But I got these for $6 shipped on eBay so I will probably just end up painting them a satin black or something. Just need to wait a week or so for shipping then I will have to see what to do about the flasher relay..

These are the ones I wasted $15 on, they light up blue, stupid me for not reading the whole auction!!!

LED for the win but not the fake CF. Glad to know you plan on covering it up! You can even try vinyl wrapping it for a much cleaner consistent look. Maybe Plastidip?

Great choice too, the design of them suit our bikes really well.
Awesome stuff!!!
Why would anyone want blue turn signals? o.0
That's sweet. Post some pics after you install it.
Did you ever get blinkers? And although you want LEDs, would the stock blinkers fit on that mount?

Oh, and what did you do about the license plate light?

Thanks

Have not got them yet.. Kinda pissed off about the whole thing.. Ordered them from China because I could not find a single US seller with a decent looking set, granted all the US sellers just get theirs from China on eBay haha..

So I ordered them last month.. All last week was a National Holiday in China so it nothing moved post office wise, it was like the whole country just shut down for a week. Would of been nice if the sellers from China posted up info about that happening..

Just finished install. I found a kit off of eBay, and just used the stock blinkers. It's a very clean look!

Looks good.

Can you post details on which kit you ordered, and how you attached the stock blinkers? Thanks

Hey guys i was wanting to get my lights and all changed, but i was wanting a smiler design to this, but for a Ninja 300>>>

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=ninja+250+led+tail+light

where they have the blinkers built into the tail light.

Just wondering if there is anything on the market yet for this?
and any thoughts/recommendations doing this?

This is the kit off of eBay :

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=330450090034

Tools you need:
Bike screw driver, wire splicing tool, and electric tape.

You have to:
Remove the stock fender
Bend the eBay kit bracket to fit perfect under tail.
Cut the wires from the stock blinkers (about 8 inches)and cut the tail light blinker wire off (you don't need it; the kit comes with led plate light)
Screw the stock blinkers or the ones that come with it to the plate attach wires ( twist them together )
Put electrical tape around twists clean it up and tuck neatly away behind plate.

I wish I took pictures step by step :(
But if you do decide to get this kit I will walk you through it but its fairly simple. I am not a handy guy and I put it together.

I am going to relocate the plate lower...and farther forward. I don't like traffic cameras getting a shot at my plate.

Especially when I am cruising at 130mph. While doing a wheelie. Naked. Holding a potato. And texting.

HAHAHAHAHA I literally just did that thing you see on TV when your drinking something and laugh and it sprays out of your whole face... man that potato part was hilarious! good times, good times.
Just an update on the bracket I bought, the plate light led already died and I contacted the seller and within a couple hours I had a tracking number for a new one. So they have great customer service!!
