Glad to hear you liked it.

Best part is never having to buy an air filter ever again.

All my vehicles have always had K&N filters.

My oldest one is an air filter almost 40 years old and still in service

Sorry to hear, but at least you're ok. Medical bills are worse than parts.
Did the bike suffer much damage?
Oh yea I’m more upset about the bike than my wrist😂 I found a new fairing set for $220 on ebay so that wasn’t too bad, got a new handlebar, levers, both footpeg sets got destroyed the mount that holds the footpeg and rear brake snapped somehow, pics below>>

What do you use to clean and re oil the K&N filter?

Some years ago, I got a kit from K&N that had a cleaner spray, an oil spray and a gasket sealer. Now those sprays are almost empty, and I need to replace with same or something else.

I've only used the genuine K&N stuff.

I've heard a million things used, but it's not that much money, and last for a very long time under normal filter conditions. And always check them every 6 months of so, bikes I do at the beginning and end of the season, unless something else happens.

Hope this helps you out.

K&N Air Filter Cleaning Kit: Squeeze Bottle Filter Cleaner and Red Oil Kit; Restores Engine Air Filter Performance; Service Kit-99-5050 https://a.co/d/0FOW90H

p.s. I've only used the spray on oil once, didn't care for it, didn't look right, the bottle of oil if fine, if you don't overuse it, soak the filter having the opposite effect. Just like any other oil based filter.
