...was pretty easy. The only silly part was taking the old one off :)

What, you thought this was an advice thread? B-)

i got the leo vince GP Corsa.

finding the necessary screws to undo the heatshield was pretty annoying but after that it came together really quickly... and the stock muffler must weigh ten or twelve pounds gah

i have it in and it's still MEGA loud even with a shoei qwest and earplugs. kind of afraid to ride it to work tomorrow (i have to be at work AT 4 am)
nothing is difficult about it it just is awkward to get to the right bolts when youre doing it the first time.

i laid on my back in the driveway and had the bike over my head basically.

Do a forum search for exhausts!!! You shall find pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and even more pages of member suggestions and comments about exhaust systems.

I like Yoshimura, some people think they look shit. Rick likes Leo Vince obviously, I think they look shit. You like Two brothers, some people love em and some people hate em. Get what you can afford and what you think looks best not what others think looks best.

That pink shirt might look great on your mate but would you buy one just because he has one? It might look shit on you
I liked the price mostly ;-)

What are your thoughts about using flat black high heat spray paint on the bracket holding the new leo vince?

Is it worth the effort to celebrate the theme of black/carbon fiber?
My opinion is not really. The bracket is a tiny bit of stainless steel with a rubber grommet on the inside. The rubber is black and obviously the carbon fiber is blackish so the little bit of shiny there provides a nice contrast in my opinion. It might be different if I had a different set of passenger sets or a different color to.remove them altogether but to me it kind of flows

I have never done anything mechanical on a vehicle until mid-January doing an oil change. So when I got my LV, my first thought was I was going to fuck up my bike. Luckily it wasn't that hard once I looked at the pieces and compared them to the diagram. Took maybe 20-30 minutes in all to do.

Rick - You removed the heat shield first? I just took the whole damn thing off at once and left the heat shield on.

And about it being "loud?" I thought it was pretty loud at FIRST (it was like 7pm and sun was down the first time I took it out, so of course I thought it was loud.)

I guess I am just used to it now. I ride without the baffle. In comparison to a Harley, I don't think the bike is that loud.
Yeah that's something I noticed this morning myself. In hindsight I think it was because the stock one is so QUIET. In any event, it's nice to have something that actually sounds like a motor is attached

I have no idea about local noise ordinances here but as just about all my neighbors have some sort of noise making toy they can stuff it. I'll have to go for a baffle-less ride later on just to see

There's I think three or so. Actual can, mounting bracket, and the connector pipe to the header.

Nothing needs to be welded it is quite literally slipped on
Also when you're done there will be some OEM bolts and nuts left over...

it's pretty nifty and i'm proud of the accomplishment, no matter how mechanically simple it may be to do so.

now those fender delete kits on the other hand... hehe

That's my neck project. Honestly it doesn't seem hard at all. Only big deal is probably cutting 1 wire since I plan to get the Targa FE. All the rest is bolting and plugging.
i'm scared to death of doing something stupid and frying the electrical system... how do i know this to be scared of it?

well... i did it once on a DIY PC...

plus i DO know that some components in the machine are ALWAYS drawing power and the only way to stop that is to disconnect the battery entirely and hope the capacitor runs dry soon

so i know it's been done before but i thought i'd make my own just because why not?

http://youtu.be/zA0ncNvD_w8 no sound baffle in

http://youtu.be/-zgpkRbjwbg sound baffle in

obviously i prefer the no baffle but in consideration for my neighbors i put the baffle back in

PS i did mine in 1080p but my stupid phone was receiving texts the same time i was recording so it may stutter a bit; not certain :/
