...was pretty easy. The only silly part was taking the old one off :)

What, you thought this was an advice thread? B-)

Which after market slip-on?

What part of stock exhaust removal was annoying?
i got the leo vince GP Corsa.

finding the necessary screws to undo the heatshield was pretty annoying but after that it came together really quickly... and the stock muffler must weigh ten or twelve pounds gah

You running with baffle in or out?

What was difficult about the stock heat shield.

Details, please...
i have it in and it's still MEGA loud even with a shoei qwest and earplugs. kind of afraid to ride it to work tomorrow (i have to be at work AT 4 am)
nothing is difficult about it it just is awkward to get to the right bolts when youre doing it the first time.

i laid on my back in the driveway and had the bike over my head basically.
yu got yours already! ugh, still waiting on mine :(
im getting either a yoshimura, two bro's, m4 or area p full system. What do you guy's suggest? So far I like the exterior/sound of two bros the most.. but this is based on youtube..
biohazard got them in on friday. told me hed be shipping it out either today or tomorrow

That sucks im waiting on mine too from biohazard.Would like to here an update on the loudness tomorrow morning. :)
Finally ordered my Akrapovic carbon slip on tonight. It's nice to have finally made a choice so I can stop watching exhaust videos on Youtube every night.~

I labored over slip on versus full system, but I figure I can de-cat the stock header down the road and feel like I actually put some work into it versus buying aftermarket.

Do a forum search for exhausts!!! You shall find pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and pages and even more pages of member suggestions and comments about exhaust systems.

I like Yoshimura, some people think they look shit. Rick likes Leo Vince obviously, I think they look shit. You like Two brothers, some people love em and some people hate em. Get what you can afford and what you think looks best not what others think looks best.

That pink shirt might look great on your mate but would you buy one just because he has one? It might look shit on you
i was gonna get a two bros but the m4 kinda resembles & sounds the same. plus its cheaper :)

And looks better. That CF diamond pattern on the Twobros is.....ummmm....strange at best.

They are both very loud systems though..........and I dont think the M4 comes with an insert to reduce the sound if it is too loud. Just something to keep in mind.

If you are looking into getting a slip on or full system, try to avoid buying directly from manufacturers like Yoshi, Two Bros, Akra etc. unless you like waiting around for them to spend your money and ship when they feel like it.

Buy from Amazon, Ebay, or some other large volume retailer that will ship quickly and not waste your time.

What are your thoughts about using flat black high heat spray paint on the bracket holding the new leo vince?

Is it worth the effort to celebrate the theme of black/carbon fiber?

My opinion is not really. The bracket is a tiny bit of stainless steel with a rubber grommet on the inside. The rubber is black and obviously the carbon fiber is blackish so the little bit of shiny there provides a nice contrast in my opinion. It might be different if I had a different set of passenger sets or a different color to.remove them altogether but to me it kind of flows

I have never done anything mechanical on a vehicle until mid-January doing an oil change. So when I got my LV, my first thought was I was going to fuck up my bike. Luckily it wasn't that hard once I looked at the pieces and compared them to the diagram. Took maybe 20-30 minutes in all to do.

Rick - You removed the heat shield first? I just took the whole damn thing off at once and left the heat shield on.

And about it being "loud?" I thought it was pretty loud at FIRST (it was like 7pm and sun was down the first time I took it out, so of course I thought it was loud.)

I guess I am just used to it now. I ride without the baffle. In comparison to a Harley, I don't think the bike is that loud.

Yeah that's something I noticed this morning myself. In hindsight I think it was because the stock one is so QUIET. In any event, it's nice to have something that actually sounds like a motor is attached
