Hey, I'm from Missouri and I might be moving to Colorado here soon and I was wondering if anyone on this forum was from there and could point out some good places to ride up there and how well Colorado is for riding in general. Weather, ect.. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

I'm in Broomfield, about 20min north of Denver, and I love it here. The winters are really not very bad. It does get really cold, but it seems to come in waves. Last weekend it was in the low teens and single digits here. This weekend I would have been out riding every day if I had any bodywork on my bike. If you plan on racing the MRA is an amazing organization. They are very welcoming and very much like a family. If you don't plan on racing come out to the tracks and watch us race so we can talk you in to racing.

The mountain roads are in great condition.

Whuh? I remember them being horrible. But, that was 12 years ago. I remember a three foot hole everyone had to just drive around. Glad they put more attention to the pavement. Now, I'm a little spoiled when it comes to roads. Everyone here complains about the penny tax every year, but we have some of the best roads in the country..literally. You can't go more than ten miles in any direction without some sort of roadwork/repair.

Tennessee = better roads, no roadwork making traffic even worse every ten feet. (disclaimer: I grew up in Dacula)

For you CO chaps, how does the altitude affect the performance of the 300?

I couldn't tell you. I haven't had it at sea level yet. I'll let you know when I can get back to Barber.
