Outside and I have watched the keith code vids and read the books but am still unable to hold more than 35-40 in a 25mph hairpin while in my lane. I can take it at 50 but will be over the line on exit even when I hang off to the point that I will low-side if I push it any more.

Not the place to be testing your skills. Get on a track. Go to a empty parking lot. You shouldn't be entering a turn wondering where you will end up at the opposite side. You certainally are not ready for the squirrel, turtle, dog, deer or guy changing a flat parked at the apex.

Hate to be that guy, I ride fast but am never more than 7/10ths on the street and that is rare.

Want to really learn? Get a used XR80-100, slap cheapo street tires on it and go do a mini endurance race on a go kart track, race mini sumoto or just go slide around in an empty field around cones.

Flux capacitor, fluxing. Lol

Depends on road conditions really. Typically if a recommended speed sign is posted, it can be doubled. A skilled rider can do double plus 10 MPH.
That depends on the 90 degree turn. Multi lane highways you can make a pretty quick turn. Two lane highways at a 4 way stop, I can't see breaking 25.

Lol I have an xr80r. The only time I enter the hairpin I am talking about is when there is nothing around. I have 1/4mi visibality and it is a mostly unused back road. I would love to be on a track but can't.

The only obstacle, my friend, is youself.

And if you are stretching your limits you will eventually pay for it from a spill of antifreeze or diesel fuel. A splash of coolant on a track nearly killed one of the greatest riders of all time, Doug Henry. He is paralyzed now thanks to a few drops of fluid.

Being barely able to stay in your lane or side of the road is askin for bad things. Sermon over.

I push myself and take a risk, BUT I am not going to just push my and the bikes limits without checking everything I can to reduce the danger. I have been on 2 wheels for too long not to know the risk and what may happen, but I never stop learing more every ride every day.

Hey man sorry to hear about your bike, I hope you regain your confidence. I had the exact same worry as well.
The videos on this link I found very helpful. you can still turn without leaning so much. If you still have trouble pretend its a rainy day and youll do just fine. No forum can teach you experience so in the end its up to the rider if he wants to get better or not.

Drag the knee...always drag the knee :p

Seriously though, if you're following a cage take it super cautious. I don't know if you notice this, but people don't know how to corner in the US.

They will slow to 3mph to take a turn and you don't want to change tour profession ro bumper sticker...

Riding on the street and riding on the track are two different monsters. On the track, you will regularly take a 90 degree or sharper turn at over 100mph. On the street, you should be looking at using the speed limit when talking intersections. Back roads are a different animal and your skill and the traffic conditions will dictate your choices. In the pics, you have me and a buddy (in black leathers) on my race bike during an endurance race. Same corner, two different riding styles, both photos at over 90mph. It's your skill, your confidence and most of all, the riding situation you're in...Speech over, let's go for a ride !!!:D

I'm sorry, @woomba, but the last sentence discredits the author in the same vain the expert witnesses discredited themselves.
Late apex turning is, in my opinion, generally safer than a single lean angle turn, but NOT when getting near speed limits.
Late apexing purpose is to gather a deeper view in to the corner and to make the turn-in quicker. This means the bike is leaned over for less time. This is still a "single lean angle turn". Even though the author doesnt explicity state it, Fifty-pencing (or mid-corner lean angle corrections) is the inverse of a "single lean angle turn". It means the rider chose a bad line and it will require one or more course corrections throughout the turn.
