My wife bought me a black 300 this past Wednesday while I was at work.

Long time rider, learned off road when I was 7, been on road since I was old enough. Been through plenty of bikes (this will be the first street bike of mine less than 599cc).

We are trading in her 250 SE for a white 300 on Tuesday.

the 300 is a great bike for rookies or experienced riders and when you are used to the power, drop on a power commander 5

I concur completely. About six and a half years ago I took her for a ride on my 1981 CB900C. I told her before the ride, if you like this, you need to get your own. She hasn't looked back since. We even picked up a PW50 for our daughters, although neither one can reach the ground yet.
