Ok.

So the infamous question that EVERYONE has asked and I will now fall into that category.

Ive been in the market for a motorcycle, this would be my first.

My height 6'2"
Weight 220lbs

Looked at the 250, SV650, FZ6, and the Monster.

At the end of the day I just want a bike that will fit and I am really leaning towards the 300 but I dont want to regret making the decision.

For those of you that are on the taller/bigger side, How does the 300 feel? Recommendations?

Thanks and I look forward to reading your opinions!

Hey mate, I'm 6' 150kg and the bike handles it well. Easily moves when i want it to and i don't feel cramped on this.
Your best bet will be to actually go and have a sit on some if you haven't already.

I'm 5'9 and 135 lbs (I skate and excercise) so I am no where near your size so I can't comment on that. But I can carry my wife on it easy and id guess she is 165ish. Though she won't tell, and I've never caught her on a scale (funny how that is lol). Oh and the fz6, and sv I wouldn't call a beginer bike. You can start on it but the 300 will make you better faster.

I think it's safe to say welcome to the forum. You won't be leaving anytime soon.

Seriously, I'm not even trying to justify my purchase because I was in your shoes a month ago, but if you can afford a Ninja 300 it is hands down the best bike to learn on. I'm going to be extra careful not to drop my baby but that's the risk we take if we want the best.

I'm 5 11 n I weigh 247... I've actually sat down on the bike n liked it...as far as ridden one I haven't yet(getting mine Saturday) but I liked getting off the 300 then I liked getting off the 650...crazy huh

Other dealers tell me I need a bigger bike n what not but I not about to pay double the price for my starter bike and finding a used bike is crazy because u can't trust everyone n I told myself I would never buy anything used because there's no telling what all has been done to it and paying 5000 for something that's an 04 is just damn ridiculous to me. So good luck with your decision because you're going to need it.

I am 6 ft 4, i just did a test drive today, but it fits like a glove!

I would definitely advise you to get a test drive before buying one, height is different with everyone, it can be longer legs or a longer torso.

I am 5 11 250 and I fit it fine. The 300 has about a 1 inch wheelbase difference than a 636 zx6 so trust me its not a small bike. Most people wouldnt even know its a 300 unless u tild them. The 300 is an awesome bike to add to any stable. I have a 300 and a 650r and side by side u cant even tell hardly any digference. Get the 300. You will love it

I'm 6'2 230lbs and I too was skeptical about the 300 but after driving it I think it fit me perfectly. The 300 is my first bike and I'm glad I decided to go with it because it has enough power for me to get comfortable and enjoy the ride.
