I did dual H7 6000k HID in my wifes 250R, it made the lights actually WORSE off. They threw light everywhere and made it very hard to see at night.

I am actually quite satisfied with eh 300s headlights, compared to all of my other bikes.

That being said nothing compares to the sexiness of an HID, and I am sure I will try it out here at some point...

Also trying to decide what to do with those other little bulbs in the headlights.. I think it might look nice with an amber bulb in there.. Make it look like parking lights almost??

which lights? headlights? or just lights in general? its hard to take a video at night showing the headlights, at least in my experience, it just never picks up on the actual light and its hard to get an idea on whats going on.

Blacked Out Reflectors/Demon Eyes

I just wanted to add for anyone planning on upgrading to H.I.D's as I am, I've heard a lot of people say and seen a few bikes where, when your doing the headlight install, if you get some good high-heat spray paint and black out your reflectors, it really helps from keeping the light getting "thrown" everywhere. Plus I think the "blacked out look" looks so great with the hid's especially if your planning on doing halos with them and even possibly demon eyes if your really going for a show-stopper. I am so excited for when they come out with a kit specifically for our bike. Never used them personally but bkmoto.com seems to have some really great kits and options, i hope they design one for our bike. I would LOVE an green/black SE with 6000k hid's with green halos and red demon eyes!!!! they even offer 3 seperate switches for each feature. I just think that would look so awesome at night!!!

You can just get a universal projection kit and install that. I want to do it but i am not ready mentally do so this yet to my brands new bike haha
I feel you!! I realized today though that I have put on 900 miles in 16 days if I keep it up I'll have over 20,000 miles on it in a year.

Have you done a projector retrofit before? That is one area where I am a NOOOB

You need to bake them to open them up to retrofit the projector into the housing. The clear headlight cover is glued to the housing itself, you bake it to loosen the glue so you can pry it apart.

Chances of you screwing it up are not that high if you have done it before, but just the thought of doing it on a brand new motorcycle just doesn't excite me..

GLAD I READ THIS!!

I was going to go ahead and put in HIDs...now I will definitely put in projectors too!! Worth the extra work.
Wait a second! Mike were you planning on putting in just HID bulbs at first? Hmm that idea never crossed my mind for some reason... I always thought you needed the projector kit in the first place...But anyway, I can imagine how bad the light would scatter without a projector housing! But if your interested you should definitely check out the angel eyes (halos) and demon eyes. bkmoto.com has some awesome kits. I am so hyped up to get these lights installed once I get my bike!

I just checked that site out. Very cool! They also have some great stuff on there. Here is the link to the bkmoto page for the 250r. Every kit they offer has a list of drop down menu's where you choose you bulb temp (color) angel eye (halo) color optional demon eyes and what color you'd like and 35w or 55w choices and how many switches you would like so you can control each thing individually or all together. I hope they come out with a 300 kit soon! Here is the link

EDIT: Also just wanted to add this I think it's so cool! It's headlights with front AND rear Angel eyes and demon eyes as well! I know its not a 300 headlight but it just shows what is possbile! Enjoy!
