I think we could get some kind of group ride going at some point for sure! But right now I suspect many of us have only gone so far as to purchase the bike but are letting the dealer hold onto it until the white stuff lays off :p

If you shop around you can get MSRP + Tax + licensing fees etc. Don;t settle for anything over that. If your lucky you may be able to take a better deal, especially if you need gear and are willing to buy at the dealership.

First mods include tank pad, and prob Yoshi frame sliders for me. Eventually a Yoshi fender eliminator, some kind of rear hugger, and a slip on exhaust. But those are later.

I'll likely be out on the bike this weekend, but you won't want to ride with me. I'll be doing practice drills and working the engine in so I wouldn't be very fun to ride with

Believe what you want Xtina, but I wouldn't put much value in a rumor, especially from a competing dealer.

Besides, even if a certified dealer were dumb enough to pull a underhanded move like that, the penalties wouldn't get passed onto the customers. That would be a terrible mistake on Kawasaki Canada's part, so it just wouldn't happen. As Rekognize pointed out, there is no supporting evidence for your rumour.

Also, MSRP is there for a reason. No MSRP for any product exists without an acceptable profit margin for the reseller. Adding on extra fees is just a tactic to increase a dealers profit margin.

And finally, are you really gonna tell me that St Onge sold me a MOONDUST Ninja 300 from the USA? A model that doesn't even exist there? Haaa, nooo, not possible. And yes, I got mine for MSRP + tax. So yeaaa, don't listen to your friends buddy, who works at a competing dealer. :)
