Hi everyone,
I noticed that after going for a long 500km trip (with one quick stop for gas) when shifting between gears, there was a slight grind. When I took the bike out the next day, the shifts were smooth again with no grinding.
Any ideas about what could have caused the grind? Could it be that the oil was too hot (I was going around 9-10k rpm most of the time in 6th gear) and it didn't have enough viscosity to lubricate the gears? Oil is 10W40 Motul 4T fully synthetic and it was around 30 degrees Celcius outside.
Thank you for your help!

Some times, I don't shift the gears lever all the way up and the gears box kicks the gear back with a grind. Usually in the upper gears, like 4th, 5th and 6th. I think is my fault. Always at high revs, 10k+

If that's the problem, you may check the lever position according to your riding position. Do you feel you have to pull up or down the foot too much to shift gears?

Also check your shift linkage for smooth operation. You may need to disassemble and lube it.

If it hangs-up at all, it could be creating problems.
