The Honda CBR250 vs the Ninja 300!!

It doesn't matter which one is faster, or easier to ride. That CBR250R is so ugleh, specially with its cyclops eye.

So fucking true!!!...sexy wise this bike is hard to match in its category, or tell me why everytime stopping on red light you get that many heads turning towards your bike. You can see their faces even from the corner of your eye.

I have the Stardust white 300, my buddy just bought the 2013 CBR250 repsol. I beat him off the start and in the long run on every run we have done against each other, even the one time i accidently hit neutral instead of 2nd. 300 owns the CBR250.

I am sure even if I jumped on his 250 and he rode my 300 I would still beat him. I am just a much better rider than he is and I shift better. I used to race a manual vehicle so I have that 6th sense of knowing the perfect shift time.

Agreed. I kinda like the repsol ones... but in general I think the looks of honda sportbikes just don't hold a candle to the competition from Kawasaki. Somehow I think the hondas look dated.

That being said, I'm still kinda curious what these guys are saying about it, wouldn't hurt for them to add subtitles...

I am a bit biased seems I own a Kawasaki but dang that thing hideous.
-the one headlamp
-thinner body
-lacking flow

Overall, just not impressive to me. At all.

The cbr250 feels so tiny when you get on it and overall the feel just seems like a toy than a bike. But I guess that's how it feels when riding a 300 and then trying a cbr250.

I agree about the cbr being hideous. Man and to think I almost bought one before I found this bike. I need to find the guy I bumped into at the Honda dealership who showed me a pic he took of the ninja and buy him a beer lol

They're probably saying: "if you buy the Honda, you should hide your head forever in your helmet because an accident would probably make the thing look better"

I actually liked the honda, i was considering getting one but the dealer here that sells them took like a week and a half off for the holidays. w/e they easily lost a sale.. and my 300 is much prettier! I dont think it looks too bad, it should be more like a cbr than the vfr. i mean, it is a CBR 250. I took a break from looking at motorcycle from when i was 17 since i got my class C. and just recently got back into motorcycles. I was surprised when i saw the new CBR 600. It looks like they downgraded the thing! the 2007-2008 models were beautiful but now... its like they went backward in the appearance!

I agree. The old design was way sleeker. If I decide to go up towards the supersport realm in the next year, I may be considering an older CBR 600rr. But I'd definitely keep the Ninja regardless. I love this bike and the mpg are ridiculous!

It's not just the power difference between the cbr250 and the 300. Only having one cylinder is a major disadvantage at pretty much any speed. Slight torque gains might be possible from a stop (although the extra hp of the 300 more than compensates), but trying to pass at freeway speeds will be a major challenge. Not to mention the increased vibrations felt at high rpms.

I don't know who thought the design of that Honda 250 was gonna be attractive. It's not just ugly on youtube. It's ugly in person! They had a red white and blue one next to a black 2012 Ninja 250 and it just made ugly even worse!
Honda definitely dropped the ball on that one!

I was going to get the 300 as my next bike. Until the 2013 cbr250r colors came out. The red, white, and blue caught my eye. So I'm getting that with ABS. Akrapovic exhaust, ASV levers, and a zero gravity windscreen. The bike is so light and agile. Seems like it'll be a lot of fun. Not the the 300 wouldn't have been. I just like the Honda more. And if I really wanted to go fast, I would've just bought a 600 again. I'm just looking to do some riding and enjoy myself. Going 140mph just isn't my style( anymore ) lol
