Been doing some research on how to get this thing off...and seems like a lot of work. Made a few calls to see what the cost of wrapping the tank or even repainting the tank to get rid of the green decal. When I inquired about wrapping it..they mentioned they'd have to sand down the decal to get it flat. Seems like if that were the route painting would be a better option.

Decided to try this for now and hope it holds up...I was wondering if I did a light clear coat over it with a wet sand and light polish...any suggestions???

If you decide to clearcoat it yourself, then I suggest the SprayMax 2K Glamour Gloss. It's a 2 part, high VOC spray, but it looks like the original and it holds up better than anything I've ever seen. It does take several days to cure, though.
