Exit Mall To Find This

Came walking out of the Promenade Mall in Temecula, to find my bike laying on the ground. Needless to say, I picked it up to find this done to it.
Furious due to the fact that the bike is not even one week old yet. No security cameras outside. No one saw anything and the worst part is that now I get to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. There were a bunch of HS kids in the area and I think someone sat on the bike and couldn't support the weight...knocked it over and took off.
Wondering if I should fix it myself or just pay my $150 deductible and have a shop do it.

Come walking out to see a group of kids crowding around my bike and sitting on this green ninja.
Good lord, you saw them do it more than once? There's gotta be some creative way to lock a metal spike to the seat while you're away.
