How many miles are on it? What oil are you running?

Does it sound like it coming from the clutch, or from the cylinder?

Look into clutch basket problems. I thought there was an issue that caused a rattling noise.

You could pull the cam chain tensioner and make sure it's function properly.

Do you think if oil level is low it could make a rattling sound in the engine?

Definitely not help, these engines hold so little oil anyway. It's the #1 killer of these engines.

Are we sure the sound is in the engine? A loose drive chain can slap the swingarm, had it happen to me on my Honda. It can sound like an engine rattle. I'd at least check chain slack, it's free and easy to check.

Also, have u had the valves adjusted? Manual calls for check/adjustment @ 12k miles. Sometimes valves can make rattling sound
