Especially since you live in an apartment complex, more protection is better than not.
Get a locking cover, a disk lock for the rear tire, and the front tire if you really wanna eb extra safe and have the money. If there is an anchor point you could chain the bike to, do so with a really strong lock and chain, do it to the frame. Also an alarm system/and or tracking device would be good.
if your on a budget, just keep good insurance, get a rear disk lock, i got a xenon xx14. works very well. a locking cover and if there is an anchor point, use it. U can get that setup for a few hundred bucks.
If you start getting into alarm systems it gets really expensive. but they are really nice if you have em.
Like I said, anything more u can do to further inconvenience a thief, do so. it lowers the chance they will even try if they know they have alot up against them to disable to get away with the bike.
