Hey everyone,

My local dealer finally got a special edition with ABS. I went to look at the bike today and although it looked awesome, I did notice some build quality issues that concern me.

Has anyone notice that the tail light seems a bit loose? How has your 300 held up so far?

definitely some quality issues with the plastics. fairings aren't as snug fit as they should be. i can't speak for the mechanical bits as i don't have virtually any miles on it yet.

Only problems I've had is the exhaust has the surface rust (only noticeable up close, like within a foot) and the front-left fairing doesn't stay flush with the bike. Comes out by a MM or so.

First year of anything is bound to have a few quality/fit issues. That's the disadvantage of being first. There's usually quick fixes to most of the issues as they come up. The upper faring thing? Still waiting on that fix...

I only had 1 major problem with 65 miles, when my rear electrical assembly was faulty. So my signals and tail light didn't work. Easy fix, took it to the dealer and it took a week to fix but it's good as new, free of charge! Buts all bikes have problems, they have wires, bolts and lots of other mechanics that can fail but it's a great bike! You'll enjoy the ride

Other than fairings not quite fitting right... Its been very good build quality that I can see. I have had my bike all apart doing certain mods, and the mechanics seem pretty top notch. But liek I said. the fairings leave a lot to be desired...

The tail light isnt lose thats how it is.
The strange thing about this is that my ninja 250 does not have a loose tail light at all. It seems like for the increase in price we should have a little tighter build. My other concern is about how these parts will hold up as more miles are put on.

The fairings suck big time. I am getting ready to shoot a nasty email over to Kawi very soon...

The tail light is loose, but that is just because it is how it is attached, its nothing to worry about.

Other than that everything seems decent.. Cosmetically its cheap, but mechanically its awesome, so far :D

PM me that email once you have it drafted. I wanna shoot one over too. The plastics quality are cheaper than some children's action figures.

Has anyone come up with a fix for the fairing coming loose by a few by the headlight?? Its getting really irritating having to push it back in after every ride.

Just wondering everyone seems to have problem with the fairings.
Ive had my bike only a month and done 1500km on it but everything is still tight as and fitting perfectly.
Ive notice alot of you have pulled your bikes apart to customize things did these problem start after you had started play with things or before.
Ive quit fussy and I really cant complain about anything.
Is there anyone else out there that has'nt had any problem or am i just lucky

I haven't done anything to my bike. I called my dealer and they just asked for me to come by tomorrow and they'll look into it. If they try to charge me for it I'll contact kawi directly

I've noticed it too. Less than 200 miles on mine and I have to pop out back on place every ride. Highly doubt anything will be done by Kawasaki, but I'm not opposed to trying.

The seat cowls probly could fit a little better, seems like it sits about 4mm too far forward, doesn't quite flow with the back end. Apart from that, all seems pretty good so far
