Break locking

So.
I just got back from what should have been a 8min round trip to bondi for some carby cleaner and well i found the reason why ABS even exists. Turned a sharp corner slowly at about 20kph after stopping at a set of red lights, stupid twit in a car from behind decides to speed up and go infront of me. I pull breaks and bammmm break lock and slide... weeeeeeeeeeee off i go into a rainy abyss. Luckily i didn't drop the bike. Why are aussie drivers so aggressive

anywho I'm lucky enough to not have dropped a bike yet, my turn will come eventually lol

I did the same last night. Well not really. All my fault. I needed to makes right turn at a light but the cars wouldn't let me in so I made a left and went to make a left turn on a small street. When I pulled into the left turn lane I was braking hard and both brakes locked up. Did a small fishtail and then the front wheel kind of started turning to the left. I just let off the brakes and reapplied. Worked. Wasn't enough to cause an accident, or make me lie it down. but it was enough to let me know my limits.

Man that sucks. I think theirs bad drivers everywhere in the world. I thought it was only in LA. But every place has their own. And let's hope you don't come across to dropping it.

Glad your alright Spicy. You have to watch any car the seem to bully bikes I mainly have hassle with P platers in cars trying to push me around BIG MISTAKE

P Platers are the worst drivers in the world lol especially the ones in done up old sports cars hahaha Mind you, I see a lot of young riders being reckless... mainly Learners and P1 riders flying down the road between cars

I think the few mature novice riders left don't ride like loonatics lol but this seems to be very rare these days

possibly even confined down to ninja riders, as we are all the most sensible riders

Well we have an annoying tiered license system where riders and drivers have to sit a computer test for their learners permit, then after 12 months for cars and 3 months for bikes attempt a driving test/ 2 day riding course + test to get a red provisional license (P1 aka red p plater) being restricred to 90kmph.
Thennnn after 12 months the P1 holder can go to the RMS (DMV) to get a Green provisional license (P2) being limited to 100kph which has to be held for 2 years in order to progress to a full unrestricted license.
Cant ride anything over 650cc capacity and some pathetic weight to power ratio till we hold a full riders license :l *sigh*

Its a system we have here to show other road users that the inexperienced riders or drivers. If you over 25 you need to display a red P plate on your bike or car for 12 months>
If your under 25 you display red P Plate for 12 months and then a Green P Plate for 2 yrs

Happened twice to me today on my way home from work in the rain...
Drivers coming out of petrol stations and driveways not even looking before they pull out. Not to mention the second one was on the phone with one hand and eating a bloody cheeseburger with the other..

No road trains anywhere near us. Even then only tourist get taken out by road trains.
