Best fuel to use for bikes?

So boys and girls, just wondering what people put in their bikes and why? Iv been putting 95 in my 250 for the past couple of months now, have a feeling it might have clogged up the fuel injectors. But that's probably from long term use lol
Anywho, tried the 98 and noticed a bit of lag on the bike, wasn't pinging like on the 95... Might try it again next time fill up!
Thoughts? :D

I run 87, find it runs better than 93.

I generally use 98, but if there isnt any difference, im going to try using 95
Is 87 and 91 an American thing? I'd like to try them out o:

Best fuel to use is debatable at best between bikers,
many people will argue one way as others with argue another.

I use 87 (America). If I go to a horrible gas company, like BP, THEN I have to go with 93. BP gas makes my tank pop like crazy, while 87 at Citgo works great.
Oh... Is 87 us like our 95 and 91 being 98? Confused lol
Maybe ill just alternate the two every month or so :l

I recently learn't from someone on here they use a different rating system.

USA (AKI) AUS (RON)

87 = 91
89 = 93
91 = 95
93 = 98

E10 = 91, the ethanol rubbish.

I see.... I guess I could have got off my fat ass and googled it.... Meh. I was watching some news show the other day doing comparison in the same car with all diff fuels and it concluded with e10 being the best fuel for cars. I'm sure e10 would brutally kill a bike o:

Its hard here in the US (well in my area anyway) to get fuel without the ethanol in it or additives. The dealership I bought my 300 from filled it up with Marine grade gas, no ethanol in that. I'm thinking of heading down to the marina near the house to fill up for a bit to see if it makes a difference. Maybe i'll run 87 octane once or twice to see if it makes a difference.

This again? LOL

Anything without ethanol should do fine. There's always varying opinions on what is better or not. some say higher octane is a waste of money, some claim they can feel a difference.

I run 93 (Premium) in all my bikes because it's my money I worked for it and I spend it how I want. In the circle i travel in, 87 (regular unleaded) is referred to as bum juice.

When I buy eggs I buy Grade A, when I buy steaks, I buy USDA Grade A, when I used to smoke I bought Class A cigs. For my bikes I use Premium unleaded.
I am in the same boat. I never put anything but shell or chevron 92 octane in anything that I own.
I have read that the lower grade fuels actual combust better ( being at lower compression ratios) so when optimal combustion is 10 degrees before TDC ( top dead center ) and the bike recomends mid grad gas and you put low grade in what happens is the gas actually combusts at 15 degrees before TDC causing a ping.

And conversley if you put high test in and it recomends mid grade you are actually not burning 100% of tthe gas.

So as far as clogging any thing that would only happen from from dirty gas.

what I dont understand is how our engine that has a CR of 10:1 or above CR recomends low test Gas ? My Trans am with aluminum heads is 10.5:1 CR and I cant put any thing but high test?

Is the manual wrong or did I read it wrong?
