If you need a reliable and trusted dealership in the NYC/Long Island area (it's even worth it if you're in CT or NJ) go to Island Powersports in Massapeaqua.

I've been to another dealer in Bayshore, two dealers in Brooklyn, one in the Bronx and one in Queens. Even out-of-state, I went to the new and expanded Motorcycle Mall in NJ. While in the Garden State, I investigated the special price as a Costco member from the dealer in Metuchen NJ.

Although it's about 25 miles from my home, I felt Island Powersports had a professional and business-like atmosphere that I was comfortable with.

Being a Kawasaki awarded Ichiban Gold dealer gives the customer confidence knowing that they are engaging with the elite and upper echelon of quality dealers. It also ensures that the proprietor is motivated to generate continued sales in order to maintain that lofty status. In Japanese, Ichiban means first. That title is only given to the managers who ensure excellent customer service and highest month-after-month sales figures. Only 2% of Kawi dealers earn that award.

I'll give you a specific example. I was asked if I wanted to have the bike delivered. I immediately thought about the price range for that service and how I would decline it. I was told there was no charge. Nobody does that. That's the kind of thing that keeps customers loyal.

I left a deposit and should be able to use Showbucks from the Motorcycle Show three weeks from now in NY. Showbucks are a promotion from Kawasaki that takes $250 off the final price of a bike. This is from corporate and not the dealership. Not to get specific, with showbucks PLUS buying at the end of December during a light snow PLUS a no-nonsense dealer, I got the lowest OTD price I've seen on this forum for a non-ABS/SE model.

Buying a car or motorcycle is usually like preparing for combat. This experience was more like a picnic. There were no battle scars or war stories. It was so quick my wife didn't have time to get impatient.

Lol to me this post seems more like a sales pitch for people to go buy there. My dealership delivered my bike with a full tank of gas free of charge as well. But in any case I am glad you were able to get a reasonable OTD price on the bike ^_^

I live in New York City and have been trolling dealers to buy the new 300 from. I don't care too much about the sales end. What I care about and am on the lookout for is good honest service.

The basics I will do myself. I really enjoyed Kawasaki Girls videos on YouTube KawiG. I'm going to get a white bike and paint the inner fairings white too. KawiG's videos will keep me from busting off tabs and breaking off the plungers.

I'd enjoy any feedback anyone has had at this LONG IDLAND dealer as it relates to service.
The New York attorney general's office takes lemon laws very serioulsy so if there were a major problem under warranty I'm not to worried.

The Magnus-Moss Warranty Act is federal and if any dealer can't fix your bike under warranty call your AG's office to create an environment where your differences can be resolved.

Non-commissioned sales pitch

We are naturally wired to complain with the greatest of ease so I was making the effort to buck my internal hard drive and give a deserving dealer a thumbs up and do so with a more thorough report. I wanted to make sure Kawi nation knows about "showbucks" and Ichiban status. Having visited a number of dealerships, I was in the position to compare and contrast.

I wasn't given the offer of money for every buyer I brought to them. I was given a great deal and asked if I would give a positive review on their website. I did that and one better by using this forum. I will also call corporate and give them a rare praise report.

If your final OTD price is the lowest seen on this forum, you'd be generous with your gratitude as well.
