In that link i like how the guy is against down shifting in an emergency brake. I agree with ignoring the gears in an emergency so you can concentrate completely on the control of the bike!

They got on my ass at the MSF course for not down shifting a couple of times during the quick stop.

Another thing he mentions is putting one foot down first, I think they should both go down at the same time, it just feels uncomfortable one at a time. These bikes are so **** heavy (around 400lbs)! And thankfully the 300's seat is pretty low so i can flat foot pretty easily with a 30" inseam.

both of these are books, they have dvds that *SUPPLEMENT* not **replace** the books.
they are by keith code. study these books, there is some fantastic information in them that will save you life one day
