So got a new 300 and beside myself that theres no lambda sensor and the the FI is running open loop. Kinda just looking around to find what diagnostics are fed to the ecu and find the proprietary KDS system.

I would like to do on dash metrics like temp and gear and incorporate AFR down the line, can anybody ohm out and scope the KDS signals?

I know the current aftermarket shift indicator suppliers are utilizing KDS for the rpm/speed metrics so I know the protocol are known and in use practically.

Anyone have any info on the protocol and or the signal conditioning for KDS?

Cheers

KDS = Kawasaki Diagnostic System, its just the plug under the passenger seat, interfaces to the ECU. Not sure exactly what you can get out of it but as kawawaki mentioned the GIPRO gear indicator uses it to get speed/rpm info so there is at least that.

There is not a lot of info out there on the details. The kawasaki software/interface cables are naturally quite expensive.

I'm an engineer, just naturally curious.
