Nice, that is a SIMPLE fix, I will take a look at it :)

Great first post by the way!
Would really love to hear how well this works.

I have the same issue, on the left side. Spoke to the dealership and was told that they've seen quite a few of them come in like that from factory.

It's not an assembly issue and they have flagged it on the system. Will take a look at it and adjust it at first service.

One thing with this issue though... If you were to fix it yourself as advised above, then you take it to service and pull the fairing apart, when you get it back, you will need to fix it again :(

I had the sane exact issue. Remove the left fairing. Loosen the bolts for the top black piece. Push down while retightening. When installing the left fairing, push it up hard and tighten while holding it as high as possible. Hasn't come out since. It's a tight fit to get the rear bolt for the fairing back in. You'll have to flex the fairing a bit, but it goes in, and problem solved

Same thing with mine as well. I mentioned it to the mechanic during the first service and he didn't even give a crap. I will take it off sometime this week and see how it fits back on. otherwise they will have a pissed-off ninja owner at the dealer :/

I don't take that kinda crap from a dealer.. I would of spoke with the manager and it they didn't care I would be reporting it to Kawi. Kawi wants to take care of their customers and without input they dont know if their dealers are taking care of us..

My dealer didnt give a **** either. I drove an hour and a half to get there, and i asked him if he could take a look and see what was wrong. he said "I just did look, and it needs to come in to get fixed, so schedule a time to come in." I explained that i drove an hour and a half to get there, and that my sales guy said i could get it taken care of. He told me that i should have called service department, and that he will schedule me an appointment for when i do my 600 mile service.

Won't be going there for service.

Didnt notice mine till I started clinching the bike w/my legs thru the twisties. The whole bike prolly needs to be gone thru for a bolt check. Kinda heard the fasteners wiggle free on the cheapo bikes regardless of manufacturer

Got the same issue. Stays in place when parked. When riding...it pops a little loose. Definitely plan on aftermarket fairings when they're available.

Just tried the fix. I'm now convinced it's poorly made fairings.

There's no give when i try to squeeze the fairing flush. But still the 1-2mm gap still persists.

My best guess is the plastics are of poor quality. Too much flex in them and that allows the little millimeter gives here and there.

Oh well. No one else will really notice it cept me. Like people saying your gf is gorgeous cept you know her little faults.

Noticed this problem last night while detailing my bike after a good old country road ride with my buddies. Pushed it back in place and then wiggled it and saw that it came right back out. Oh well. If it took me 2.5 weeks and detailing to notice it, no one else will.

Thanks for the fix, it was driving me nuts! I have a thing bout needing to line up perfect which comes after years of assembling the interiors of mack trucks.
