'Why We Ride'

Full-disclosure, haven't seen it yet, but I've heard nothing but rave-reviews and I plan to buy this movie soon.

I did see the 'Faster' series and loved 'em. Also thoroughly-enjoyed 'Long Way Round' and Long Way Down' with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman.

I went and saw why we ride with my dad at a local showing that the makers were putting on. It was 35 F and some guys showed up on their decked out super sports in hoodies. Someone commented on how brave the riders were and they didn't seem all too happy when I commented on what happens when your neck freezes. The movie was good I guess. They skip over all the extreme off road stuff like redbull's erzberg or last man standing kind of riding which was a big let down for me. I love all motorcycle riding and it felt like a hole to me. It felt like they left out my roots and why I ride.

I prefer Fastest and The Doctor, The Tornado & The Kentucky Kid for my "someday I will have a supersport" inspiration and Long Way Round/Long Way Down to keep the fire lit under my plan to ride my BMW to Alaska by way of Yellowknife and Dawson City.

Why We Ride was OK but not nearly as enthralling as I thought/hoped it would be and I just couldn't manage to stay interested in On Any Sunday long enough to get through the whole movie.
