I'm sure they are very similar in quality, Yoshimura is big in the U.S. because even though they started in Japan, they have a huge presence in AMA sport bike racing and sponsor several road racing and motocross teams in the U.S. Akrapovic is a Slovenia company that has built a huge following through out Europe. They are very popular in MotoGP and World Superbike. They are considered a premium exhaust manufacturer. Personally I'm going for the Akrapovic, even if they are a little more :D

Ive been reading other forums about this and everyone says Akrapovic is slightly better because of weight and overall performance but its very minimal. I guess at this point its sound/looks.

Akra is definitely top quality in my understanding, and having the same exhaust as Motogp guys is pretty cool if you're into the replica kind of thing, but the LV corsa, I think it was cbzdel who got it, is awesome and so cheap for a top name brand manufacturer !

I have the Akra, it is worth the $. No tinny, farty, blartyness. They build top notch stuff, and are involved in KTMs exhaust program too.

We had a Akra can on a recent Husky 125/144 MX bike. Absolute work of art and sounded like nothing else with a 2t engine. Fantastic exhausts.

Ive always thought that Akrapovic only make exhaust for bikes but until i got in to the whole euro b,w scene i was amazed to find that they make exhaust system for them as well. As ive read on other forums Akrapovic has a pretty good rep towards quality for exhaust.

These two canister look so similar wonder how they each sound?

I never heard of Akrapovic outside of the 250/300 world, not sure if that's good or bad. Everyone knows about Yoshimura.. Other than that, not much else to say haha
Realy? Akra is pretty well known for making some high quality exhausts. They do exhausts for hyper cars as well.

The Akra is better quality but at the end of the day for a slip on get the one you like the sound of. They both look sexy.

I always like Akra, when I had my M3s. I always wanted to add a exhaust system. But they cost almost the same as a superbike. So I never pull the trigger. But I Would purchase it for my bike, to give it a good sound.

In the end just go with what you like cause at the end if the day it's you who's riding it. My decision is based on the sound, so far I like the yosh look but akra sound.

2 weeks to decide -.-

I guess I shouldn't assume everyone's heard of Termignoni? Their an Italian company that makes exhaust for motorcycles. There the other high end company for racing exhaust. Between them and Akrapovic, they supply all the exhaust for MotoGP and World Superbike :D

I contacted them to find out if they were going to make exhaust for the Ninja 300, and they couldn't give me a definite answer, so I'm going with Akrapovic
