2014 300SE, Akrapovic slip on carbon pipe, with dB killer is just a little louder than stock and doesn’t seem to make any difference to my seat dyno. So I decided to pull the dB killer. The dB killer is attached with a bolt that is tack welded to the dB killer. 10 minutes with a die grinder and the dB killer came out. It really improves the sound of the bike and adds a nice rumble to the engine at idle. Some back fires on down shifts which I really like. If I am sloppy with an up shift, once in a while I get a pop as well. All together great sound at all revs. Butt dyno says same power but great sound, looks great and 6.4 lbs. less weight.
