Hey All,

I purchased some used 636 headlights on Ebay, however, the lens is more scratched then presented in the pictures of the listing. Luckily, no scratches are too deep beyond repair.

Anyways, I was thinking of using a 3M headlight restoration kit. Has anyone used this kit or any other kit to restore headlights? One concern I have is by using the 3M kit the UV protective layer will be removed when sanding so I will need something to replace the UV protective layer. Anyone have any recommendations or advice?

Pretty sure the UV protection is actually part of the plastic and not a layer. Should be fine.

There are dedicated products you can buy for this, but any automotive wax or sealant will do the job. Just reapply every few months and you'll be good :eek:k:

Negative. It's a coating.
