Hahaha that bit about hand waving is spot on... 1 I, always get waves right as,I clutch in, start a corner, or similar.
2 I've mistaken a scooter from far away before. wasn't a vespa though
3 rare is the time I've gotten acknowledgment from from a cruiser. It happens but rarely, and usually it's from a rider wearing gear. The "brave" crowd never acknowledges, I've yet to get a wave from a gold wing, and Harley riders seemingly see no color but black leather sooooo
