Might be perfect for rain gear and cover. I currently use a cycleguys fastpack on my 04 Ninja 250 to hold all my rain gear and bike cover, and this looks about the same size.

The tail bag i had for my least bike was smaller than this one it all depends on what your buying it for. Mine was just to get my lunch to work.

I prefer a magnetic tank bag. Don't really need storage in the tail and every time I use a tail bag it gets annoying swinging my leg over.

Im new to riding bike, but eventually i would like to ride to uni (takes about 45 min to drive). Would you recommend me getting one of these tail bags, or wearing a backpack will be alright? My bag is usually heavy though, carrying my laptop, and textbooks and all.

Tank bag. Within your reach at stoplights and such, and you would get a magnetic one that is incredibly easy to take off

I commute with a laptop backpack at the moment and it seems to do the trick but it feels uncomfortable when leaning into corners and its a real bitch to put on and take off with a textile jacket on. Especially for the quick stops to grab a drink etc.

Well a rear trunk may be up your ally then lol but check demention because your laptop and books may not fit. I can remember atm, but I think I have seen some backpack size tank bags, they remove to actually be a backpack, so your can stick it on the tank for your ride, then take it off and wear it when you get there.

I like backpacks *shrug* I think tail bags look funky.
