I had my toy hauler travel trailer stolen with my Rzr inside, back in September. It was a nut punch that's for sure. Although insurance paid, you just don't seem to trust anyone anymore and now I go to great lengths to "secure" everything. Locks keep honest people honest. That's about it. You have to out think these horrible people. Nothing is impossible to steal, so you have to make things less desirable, do things to slow them down, track them and to be honest, just insure everything you can.

On a side note, due to the interwebs, my trailer was spotted 4 months later and recovered. The Rzr was gone as well as everything inside my trailer, but at least it was recovered. There is a much longer story to that one. so there is hope.

You need to post a location and pictures so we can keep an eye out. Everything helps.

Track-
'13 Kawasaki Ninja 300SE - Yoshi full exhaust, PCV, Vortex rear sets, gp shift, Dunlop Q3+ (formerly Bridgestone Battlax S20 EVO), GSXR rear shock, Barnett clutch and springs, Woodcraft clip-ons, Hotbodies race plastics, Ducati steering dampener, fully safety wired, racetech ft springs and gold valve emulators, ft stainless steel brake line, EBC HH pads, more to come.

That seems like an extremely high risk theft, seems unlikely. Unless thieves are selling bikes on CL for this very purpose.

The owner didn't steal it or has any idea so far that it was stoleb. This long story that is more convoluted than a metal gear solid plot has me baffeled.

The final bit where my girlfriend found a lead and we followed the bike, called the cops and I've got my bike back.

She needs some work. The keys are all borked, the stock bike lock is done for, and he painted all of it black, including my matte white windscreen (the bastard).

But it's now safely parked indoors away from my apt. I'm going to say that I was beyond lucky after what I found out.

This shoddy paint job makes me sad though, good thing the previous owner gave me a full set of painted fairings.

That's great news that you got it back... what was the lead that lead you to the bike? Cloak and dagger type stuff?

Engineer rocketing through time and space on two wheels!

It was a bunch of people that helped out, and wanted to see this guy go down. Apparently he might be getting more time for running dope. So it is becoming a tangled web of rediculousness. I swear it is insane how this turned out.
But the last lead was real cloak and dagger.

Glad you got it back.
Look at the silver lining, get rid of the shitty black paint job and paint it the way you want it.
Now you can truly-town make it your bike
